Jan is Board Certified Licensed Optician in Florida and has been with Royal Palm Optical since 1986 where he was previously co-owner. He studied at Miami-Dade college in the opticianry program and is certified with the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners. Jan started his career owning and operating the optical dispensary at Eye Associates of Boca Raton for 18 years and moved Royal Palm Optical to the northern part of Boca Raton in 2003 at its present location. Jan has experience in lens manufacturing and still maintains a finish laboratory at RPO so eyeglasses are still made on the premises. Jan has been married for 39 years and has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys woodturning and home improvement projects.
